Tokyo to Fukushima

Once you have got to Tokyo from an international airport follow the steps below!

Getting from Tokyo to Fukushima is easy! At Tokyo Station, look for the green signs of the JR Tohoku Shinkansen. The Shinkansen is sometimes known as the bullet train.

Buy your ticket at a JR Ticket Office, which you can recognise from the word みどりの窓口(midori no mado guchi) or from this logo: img_midori

Check the train times in advance, and for more information on JR stations (including station maps and the layout of shinkansen trains, please check here)

To go to Koriyama or Fukushima, just get off at that station.

To go to Aizu Wakamatsu, you need to change trains at Koriyama station, and take the Ban-Etsu West Line from Koriyama to Aizu Wakamatsu station.

To reach Iwaki from Tokyo, taking the JR Joban Line will take you straight there! You can see the timetable here.
